Church House

Overview

Church House is a remarkable renovation project that reimagines a 19th-century chapel as a refined, contemporary home. Located in the North of England, the property combines historical character with modern design and technology, resulting in a living space that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.

As a full Hestia project, our team led the design, project management, and installation from concept through to completion. The aim was to honour the chapel’s original architecture while introducing modern functionality and comfort. Exposed beams, soaring ceilings, and stone detailing are balanced with a soft, minimalist interior palette to create warmth and serenity.

We transformed the former chapel hall into an open-plan kitchen and dining space designed for modern living. A central courtyard was introduced to bring natural light into the home and provide a quiet outdoor retreat, seamlessly connected to the interior through considered spatial planning and glazing design.

Our team integrated intelligent lighting, bespoke AV distribution, automated blinds, and smart glass technology throughout the property. Each element was designed to complement the architecture and enhance everyday living, from scene-setting lighting in the vaulted kitchen to discreet control panels that maintain the home’s clean aesthetic.

The result is a project that embodies Hestia’s philosophy: design-led, intelligently engineered and beautifully executed. Church House stands as a statement of what can be achieved when architecture, interiors, and technology are considered as one.
